The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Pencil on paper. The reverse of the sheet is attached to the mount in two places at the centre of the lower and upper edges. The right and upper edges are deckled. A small paper loss at the tip of the upper left corner. A small horizontal flattened fold at the centre of the left edge and a further diagonal one at the upper left corner. Some pale light and mount staining with a very few associated small spots of foxing in places. A stain along the centre of the left edge. Two further areas of discolouration of the paper at the centre of the upper and lower edges corresponding to the aforementioned mounting tape on the reverse. Subject to the foregoing, it is our opinion that this works appears to be in generally good condition.

Graphite sur papier. Le revers de la feuille est maintenu au montage à deux endroits au centre des bords inférieur et supérieur. Les bords droit et supérieur sont non-ébarbés. Un petit manque de peinture à l’extrémité du coin supérieur gauche. Une petite pliure horizontale aplatie au centre du bord gauche et une autre diagonale au coin supérieur gauche. Légère insolation et brunissement de la feuille du au montage associés à de rares petites piqûres par endroits. Une tâche le long du centre du bord gauche. Deux autres zones de décoloration du papier au centre des bords supérieur et inférieur, correspondant aux adhésifs de montage susmentionnés. Sous réserve de ce qui précède et selon notre opinion, cette œuvre apparait en bonne condition générale.
