The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Hinged on the verso at the upper corners to the mat backing with japan paper. Faintly mat-stained and light-stained, consistent with the work's age. Left, lower and right edges deckled, the latter with three tiny nicks. Recto: archival tape remnants to the upper corners from a previous hinging, with two associated faint spots of skinning. A tiny straw ink flecks. Verso: A few areas of rubbing, consistent with artist's process. A few pinpoints of foxing. No tears or restoration detected. Subject to the foregoing, it is our opinion that the work is in overall very good condition.
