The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

- with 38 mm. margins at left and right, a 24 mm. margin above, a 55 mm. margin below.
- the central vertical crease partially broken and repaired, backed with glassine tape above at below between the sheet edges and platemarks, with associated pale adhesive staining, mostly visible in the margins and verso.
- a horizontal fold along the upper platemark.
- a few un-inked hairlines and some hair impacted in the paper.
- some handling creases, minor thin spots and short tears in the margins and sheet edges in places.
- some pale staining, surface dirt and fingers marks in margins and verso.
- inscribed 39 at the lower left sheet corner recto, and other pencil inscriptions verso.
