The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

La peinture est réalisée sur un panneau de bois composé de deux planches assemblées verticalement. Le panneau a été biseauté le long des bords supérieur et inférieur. L'ensemble reste stable.
À la lumière naturelle, on peut percevoir quelques restaurations le long des jointures du panneau. Dans les tons chair et les jaunes de la composition, on peut voir un fin réseau de craquelures. On constate quelques retouches ponctuelles dans les gris du cartouche et de l'entablement. Les détails des fleurs sont bien conservés, en particulier dans la moitié supérieure de la composition.
L'examen sous lumière UV confirme les observations ci-dessus et révèle un renforcement des noirs dans l'arrière-plan. Il y a une zone de restauration dans la corniche inférieure qui s'étend jusqu'à la vrille du pois de senteur.
La couche de peinture reste stable et, dans l'ensemble, le tableau présente très bien.

The painting is executed on a wooden panel made up of two vertically joined boards. The panel has been beveled to the upper and lower edges. The whole remains stable.
In natural light some restoration along the panel join can be perceived. In the flesh tones and the yellows of the composition a fine pattern of craquelure can be seen. There is some scattered retouching to the greys of the cartouche and the stone ledge. The details of the flowers remain well preserved, especially in the upper half of the composition.
Examination under UV light confirms the above observations, and reveals some strengthening to the blacks in the background. There is an area of restoration in the ledge at lower ledge that extends into the sweet-pea tendril.
The paint layer remains stable and overall the painting presents very well.
