The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Cette œuvre est vendue encadrée. La toile présente une très légère ondulation dans la partie inférieure, inhérente à la méthode de travail de l’artiste. La surface est légèrement encrassée et poussiéreuse. Présence de quelques accrétions par endroits sur la surface. Présence de quelques craquelures dans les parties sablées et points d’enfoncement par endroits sur la surface, inhérents aux matériaux choisis par l’artiste. Présence de quelques craquelures de séchage dans la partie noire au centre de la composition. Une très légère griffure est visible dans l’angle inférieur gauche. Examinée à la lumière UV: pas de repeint apparent. Sous réserve de ce qui précède, selon notre opinion, l’œuvre est en bon état général de conservation.

This work is sold framed. The canvas undulates very slightly to the lower part, inherently to the artist’s working method. The surface is slightly dirty and dusty. There are a few accretions in places to the surface. The few cracks to the sand parts and small dents in places to the surface are inherent to the artist’s chosen medium. There are a few drying cracks to the black part to the center of the composition. A slight scratch is visible to the lower left corner. Examined under UV light: no visible inpainting. Subject to the foregoing, it is our view that the work appears to be in overall good condition.
