The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
The canvas is taut and the paint layer is stable. The stretcher is slightly distorted. Faint rubbing to the top and right turning edge. Three fine scratches and a small scuff mark near the right edge. When inspected under ultraviolet light, no apparent inpainting can be seen. It is in our opinion that the work is in overall good condition.
