The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The sheet is hinged to its window mount and is mounted on its reverse to the backing board. The sheet undulates slightly. There are spots of craquelure with associated paint losses to the dark green passage in the centre of the composition. There are some minute drying cracks with associated pinpoint paint losses to the dark blue and brown passages. There are watermarks in places, most visible to the red border. There are scattered surface abrasions with associated pinpoint paint losses, some of which appear to have been retouched in the blue passages. There is a minor loss to the paper in the centre of the left vertical edge. There are some pinpoint accretions in places. Subject to the foregoing, it is our view that the work appears to be in generally fair condition.
