The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The sheet is hinged at the upper corners to the backing board, and artist pinholes are visible at the upper corners. The sheet has shifted in tone and is discolored throughout. Lighter areas of discoloration are to the upper corners in association with the hinges, and lighter spots of discoloration are scattered around the central charcoal form. Three liquid stains are at the lower edge beneath the signature. A small spot of lighter discoloration is visible at the left edge.
