Lot Essay

The present Vacheron Constantin monopusher chronograph pocket watch may perhaps have one of the most beautiful and interesting calibers hidden within. The bridges and levers are wonderfully finished and meander throughout the caliber, adding fantastic layers of depth. Interestingly, the inside caseback is inscribed with "R. Carassale Unico Agente Montevideo." a retailer of Vacheron Constantin watches in Montevideo, Uruguay during the early 20th century.
