The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Not examined out of frame. The work is structurally sound. There is a fine layer of surface dust. There are some small losses to the extreme horizontal edges of the panel. There are some minor abrasions in places with associated paint loss, most visible in the lower half of the composition. There are some drip marks and pinpoint accretions in places, most visible to the lower centre of the composition and near the signature. When examined under ultraviolet light, there appears to be no evidence of any retouching. Subject to the foregoing, it is our view that the work appears to be in generally good condition.
