The canvas is slightly slack and two canvas draws are to the lower edge. Surface variation is visible, likely in keeping with the artist's working method and choice of medium. A few loose strings from the linen are visible. The flower pigments have faded slightly, in keeping with the natural aging process of the medium. Slight lifting and small loss are to the flower petals intermittently, in keeping with the artist's working method and choice of medium. Small linen tears, some with associated fraying, are scattered, most notably to center and near the left center edge. There is no apparent inpainting visible under ultraviolet light.
