The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Visible under raking light, the canvas undulates slightly along the left edge. Faint rubbing and small losses are occasionally to the corner-tips and extreme edges. A linear transfer mark is to the right lower extreme edge, and another minute transfer mark is to the center left extreme edge. Hairline cracks, with associated small spots of lifting and loss, are scattered, and a small passage of radial cracks is to the upper right quadrant. Tiny accretions, drip marks and pinpoint spots of stray media are intermittent. A few minute compressed impasto peaks are occasional. There is no apparent inpainting visible under ultraviolet light.
