The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

- several hard printer's creases in the upper, blank area below the platemark.
- the printed surface slightly cockled, mainly visible in raking light.
- two small traces of yellow pigment (studio traces?) in the upper subject and one in the upper margin.
- some very small, unobtrusive ink smudges above the image and in the margins.
- a few small, pale foxmarks in the margins.
- a minor crease at the lower left sheet corner, an associated short nick (3 mm.) at the lower left sheet edge.
- narrow strips of thin paper hinging tape at the upper sheet edge recto.
