The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

In addition to the catalogue description:
- the full sheet.
- the red slightly attenuated.
- three tiny circular moisture (?) dots on the 'O' of SOUP, the metallic inks otherwise generally in very good condition.
- a couple of fine and unobtrusive scuffs in the red (only visible upon very close inspection).
- a handling indentation at the upper left corner, with an associated short 3 mm. nick (mainly visible in a raking light).
- some tiny creases at the left sheet edge, and some minor handling indentations elsewhere (only visible in a raking light).
- remains of fabric hinges on the reverse.
- hinged with paper tape at various places along the edges verso; the reverse therefore only partially examined.
Otherwise as described and in generally good condition.
