The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Movement: The movement is ticking at the time of cataloguing, and all functions are working; however, a service is recommended at the purchaser's discretion. Christie’s does not guarantee the future working of the movement.
Dial: White enamel dial with chipping to the center arbor of the subsidiary seconds. Light wear and dust throughout. The hands show light wear and aging.
Case: The case has been polished in the past and has scratches and nicks throughout. The hallmarks on the inside caseback and inside lip are defined with fading.
Buckle: The buckle is gold tone stainless steel and generic.
Overall Condition: Very good

The watch is sold and delivered with a calf leather strap; the original strap is not included in the sale.

(b) As collectors' watches and clocks often have very fine and complex mechanisms, a general service, change of battery or further repair work may be necessary, for which you are responsible. We do not give a warranty that any watch or clock is in good working order or whether it can be accepted for service or serviced by its manufacturer. Certificates are not available unless described in the catalogue.

(c) Most watches have been opened to find out the type and quality of movement. For that reason, watches with water resistant cases may not be waterproof, and we recommend you have them checked by a competent watchmaker before use.
