Portfolio cover, title and contents page: Selbstbildnis mit Koffer (H. 212)
- printed onto cream wove paper and pasted onto the front cover, with the usual slits for the ribbons, and canted corners, as issued.
- various stains, scuffs, traces of pigment, abraded areas and wear along the edges.
- a short horizontal tear (23 mm.) at the lower right edge.
The Plates
- all on cream wove paper, without watermark, the full sheets, with deckle edges above and below.
- all sheets with the occasional, unobtrusive pinpoint foxmark.
- a few with some larger, pale foxmarks.
- some with very minor handling marks and surface dirt.
- some very pale time staining along the sheet edges, mainly above.
- some very minor creases in the margins in places.
- all inscribed with the plate number 1-10, respectively, in blue ballpoint pen at the lower left sheet corner verso.
- Plate 1 (Selbst im Hotel) with an obtrusive horizontal printer's crease in the left margin.
- Plate 3 (Die Nacht) with some scattered pale grey spots along the right sheet edge.
All loose, within the original card folder with dark-green cloth spine and corners (as issued), with some wear to the edges, corners and boards.
