The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Not examined out of frame. The edges of the canvas are covered by its frame. The canvas, stretcher and attachments appear to be in generally good condition. There is a minor white media mark to the lower right horizontal edge and some brown media splashes in places, in keeping with the artist's working method. There is a repair measuring approximately 2cm. in the lower left quadrant. When examined under ultraviolet light, there are spots to the repaired area and the face of the figure that fluoresce unevenly in a manner consistent with retouching. Subject to the foregoing, it is our view that the work appears to be in generally good condition.
