The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The canvas is taut, with minor canvas draws to the upper and lower left corners. Fine tension cracks are to the turning edges, and tiny pigment losses are to the corner-tips. A few faint spots of discoloration and associated fibrous accretions are to the upper register. A faint linear impression is to the lower left quadrant. A fine stable hairline crack is near the center upper edge, and a few tiny ones are near the upper left corner. Pinpoint accretions are occasional. Visible under ultraviolet light, a line of inpainting is to the upper right quadrant, and a tiny spot is to the upper left quadrant.
