The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Movement: The movement is ticking at the time of cataloguing, and all functions are working; however, a service is recommended at the purchaser's discretion. Christie’s does not guarantee the future working of the movement.
Dial: The dial has evenly aged and was relumed in the past. The hour and minute hands are later service replacements and were color matched.
Case: The case has scratches and nicks throughout. The bezel is possibly later and has faded and the back is fuschia color. The inside caseback is stamped 'IV, 68'.
Bracelet: The bracelet has stretching with scratches and wear. The clasp is stamped '2, 69' and endlinks '55'.
Overall Condition: Very good

Please note that the bracelet size is measured with the watch head attached.

For that reason, watches with water resistant cases may not be waterproof, and we recommend you have them checked by a competent watchmaker before use.
