拍品專文

This very spontaneous and playful little print - titled Caricature by Brigitte Baer - belongs to a small group of drypoints made by Picasso in spring 1958 in Cannes, using sheets of celluloid as a matrix instead of copper plates. (For other examples, see Baer 1020-1022.)
The celluloid sheet exists and belonged to author, the French poet Pierre-André Benoît (1921-1993), who also printed Picasso's drypoint and published the little book.
