The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

In addition to the catalogue description:
- with margins, trimmed on four sides. (S.A.C calls for a sheet size of 1000 x 805 mm.)
- lacking the publisher's blindstamp and inkstamp on the reverse.
- pale mount-staining at the sheet edges.
- two skillfully repaired tears (15 mm. and shorter) at the extreme lower right of the composition and just above the artist's signature.
- three smaller skillfully repaired tears at the extreme left of the composition and in the left margin.
- two soft, diagonal creases at the upper right corner.
- two small handling creases at the extreme left sheet edge, at centre (mainly visible in a raking light).
- skinning resultant from previous hinging at the sheet corners verso.
Otherwise as described and in generally good condition.
