The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The canvas is relined and unvarnished. Mild frame abrasions with minute accretions and tiny losses are to the edges. Slightly raised craquelure with associated small pigment losses are scattered. Small losses are to the upper edge. Discoloration is noted. A horizontal seam is to the lower edge, and another is to the center, in keeping with the nature of the support. Visible under ultraviolet light, small spots of inpainting are scattered.
