The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
We have sought to record changes in the condition of these pieces acquired after their initial manufacture.
A faint 0.7 cm. hairline (not going through the paste) under the cup's exterior mouth rim associated with two pin-size glaze gaps, most possibly due to the firing process.
The saucer's inner foot rim with an underglaze small chip.
The cup with a rectangular paper label reading 'X58' on the base.
The cup and saucer are in good overall condition with general age-related surface wear, scratches and minute pin-size glaze gaps and firing spots as can be expected.
