The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The sheet is hinged to the backing board at the upper corner-tips and undulates slightly. Artist's pinholes are to the corner-tips. Minor wear, creasing and tiny nicks are to the corner-tips and edges, most notably to the upper left corner. Handling marks are occasional. A fine abrasion is to the lower right quadrant. Visible under close inspection, a very fine hairline crack is near the lower center edge in a white painted passage and fine drying cracks are to the black painted passages along the lower edge. A faint linear crease is to the lower left quadrant. There is no apparent inpainting visible under ultraviolet light.
