The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

In addition to the catalogue description:
- the full sheet.
- the graphite inscription very slightly smudged (as is common).
- a 12 mm. vertical crack at lower left, possibly associated with the printing.
- a short and unobtrusive 10 mm. scratch at the lower left corner.
- upon very close inspection, there are some very tiny pigment losses at the extreme sheet edges.
- upon very close inspection, minor polishing marks and a soft handling indentation visible in raking light.
- some tiny paper fibres on the surface near the brooch.
- on the reverse, some minor adhesive residue and surface skinning in places at the edges associated with old hinging tape.
Otherwise as described and in very good condition.
