The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The canvas is mounted on board and safely held within its artist's frame. There are minor losses to the extreme edges of the artist's frame. There are some scattered pinpoint paint losses and inconsistencies to the silver paint layer of the artist's frame. There are inconsistencies to silver paint in the background of the composition, presumably in keeping with the artist's reworkings. When examined under ultraviolet light, there is no evidence of any retouching. Subject to the foregoing, it is our view that the work appears to be in generally good condition.
