Vacheron Constantin debuted a revised Overseas collection in 2004 that maintained the elegant spirit and design codes of the 1996 original while giving the model a more robust and modern look. A hallmark of contemporary Vacheron Constantin design, this evolution signaled the start of the collection's second generation, which combined technical sophistication with sophisticated sportiness.

This philosophy is perfectly embodied by the present watch, a second-generation Overseas Perpetual Calendar Chronograph. Vacheron Constantin achieved a remarkable balance between mechanical complexity and elegant wearability by skillfully integrating two of watchmaking's most prestigious complications, the chronograph and the perpetual calendar, within its distinctive tonneau-shaped case and round bezel inspired by the Maltese Cross, the brand's emblem.

During its brief four-year production run, which began in 2012 and ended in 2016, this model was manufactured in incredibly small quantities. The present watch, which combines the maison's expertise in haute horlogerie with the spirit of sophisticated adventure that characterizes the collection, is therefore one of the most exclusive and technically impressive iterations of the Overseas line.
