The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

A wooden strip frame is affixed to the side edges of the canvas. The canvas is slightly slack. Visible under raking light, stretcher bar impressions are to the edges and to the lower register, and a small, faint protrusion is to the upper right edge, also corresponding to the stretcher. Faint rubbing is occasionally to the left lower extreme edge. Fine hairline cracks are occasional. A faint, linear surface scuff is near the right upper edge in a blue painted passage. Tiny accretions are infrequent, and a few tiny drip accretions are near the lower left edge. There is no apparent inpainting visible under ultraviolet light.
