The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The sheet is not laid down, but hinged into a non-acidic mount at the upper edge. The sheet is undulated. There are scattered fox marks visible throughout the sheet. The iron gall ink has bled throughout and there is some visible cracking to the paper where the ink is heaviest - particularly in rear leg of the horse. The upper, lower and left-hand edges are irregular. The drawing continues to read well and could be hung without further attention. Sold framed.
