St. Petri's Vermächtnis

The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Not examined out of frame. The cardboard is secured to its underlying support and all collage elements appear to adhere well to their underlying support. There are artist's nails to the extreme corners. There are areas of craquelure and associated lifting, most notably to the upper left quadrant. There are some minor paint losses in places, most notably to the extreme edges. When examined under ultraviolet light there is no evidence of any retouching. Subject to the foregoing, it is our view that the work appears to be in generally good condition.
