Lot Essay

The Cosmograph Daytona is without a doubt one of the most successful and well-known line of chronograph wristwatches ever devised by any manufacturer. Introduced in 1963 with the manually wound reference 6239, it went through various evolutions before being upgraded with an automatic movement around 1988, with reference 16520. Reference 116520 was launched in 2000, the first Daytona equipped with a fully in-house Rolex movement, enjoying enormous popularity ever since.
