The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
The work is structurally sound, and all elements appear to be present. The surface undulates slightly, presumably in keeping with the artist's chosen medium. There are areas along the lower horizontal and right vertical edges where the cotton backing separates from the fabric. There is some slight discolouration and there are some loose threads to the extreme edges of the fabric. There are some pinpoint dark accreations to the upper horizontal edge. There is some old tape residue in the upper right vertical edge. There is some minor fraying in places to the embroidered elements. There are some scattered minor paint losses in places. Subject to the foregoing, it is our view that the work appears to be in generally very good condition.
