One of Gruau's most iconic works, this image was the central advertisement for the exhibition René Gruau Fashion and Advertising which was held in 1989 at the Palais Galliera, Paris. It is this period that many consider the apex of Gruau's illustration career. This specific gouache is from Gruau's private collection and was on display in his apartment in Cannes, France.
