The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Sheet floats freely. Faintly mat-stained and light-stained. Artist's tack-holes to the four corners and center edges of the composition. Lower left corner irregular and flattened creases to upper and lower right corners. Vertical flattened crease at center and a few further horizontal creases along the upper and lower edge. with associated expertly-repaired tear at upper center edge. Some faint handling creases and scuff marks. A few further small expertly-repaired tears to the center upper edge and to the upper right corner. A few pinpoints of foxing and faint remnants of drip stains. On the reverse: Japan paper to the aforementioned expertly-repaired tears. The line is strong. Subject to the foregoing, it is our opinion that the work is in overall good condition.
