The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

There are the inevitable dents, marks, scratches and rubbing consistent with age and use.

Exterior exhibits marks, dents, wooden slats seems to have been sandblasted, zinc and lozines appear to have been polished, scratches to metal. The painted initials on each side are partially faded. The exterior metal of the trunk appears to have been restored.

Interior is incomplete, it exhibits marks, stains, and musty odor.
