The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
We have sought to record changes in the condition of these pieces acquired after their initial manufacture.
Shallow bowl 1:
Good overall condition.
Shallow bowl 2:
A few minute surface frits in the well.
A section of the foot with a few hairline cracks (forming an approx. 2.5 cm. wide A-shape) most possibly due to a shock, associated with a very small chip.
Both:
Fritting to the rims.
Wear to the glaze and some surface scratches.
Firing faults and a few minute glaze gaps.
A circular paper label reading 'R.H.R.P. / C86' under the base.
