The canvas has not been lined. In natural light no obvious damages or retouchings can be detected. The original impasto and pigments appear to be nicely preserved. Examination under ultraviolet light shows no indication of inpainting. Varnish lights up green making a more detailed reading difficult. Overall the painting appears to be in authentic condition.
