The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

L’œuvre est sur sa toile d’origine. La surface est très légèrement poussiéreuse. Quelques fines craquelures sont visibles par endroits sur la surface. Certaines sont accompagnées de très légers soulèvements de matière principalement dans les passages marrons. Examinée à la lumière UV: pas de repeint apparent. Sous réserve de ce qui précède, selon notre opinion, l’œuvre est en bon état général de conservation.

The work is not lined. The surface is slightly dusty. There are hairline cracks in places to the surface. Some of them are associated with very slight lifting, especially to the brown parts. Examined under UV light: no visible inpainting. Subject to the foregoing, it is our view that the work appears to be in overall good condition.
