The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The sheet is hinged along the horizontal edges to the backing board. Mild wear, artist's pinhole marks, creases, faint skinning and minute pigment losses are to the extreme edges. Four horizontal flattened creases are to the center and right corners. Tiny losses and soft scuffs are occasionally scattered. A tiny accretion is to the center of the largest white star. Visible under close inspection and ultraviolet light, a minute vestige of adhesive residue is near the lower right corner.
