Overall very good condition with light surface scratches and minor wear commensurate with age and gentle use. The hanging shade presents with a palette of emerald to light olive green when unlit. While illuminated, this shade presents with a luminous chartreuse and lime green tiles with hints of butterscotch. The central 'Turtle-Back' tile, which functions as a hinged door, with a richly iridized surface, appearing azure blue when unlit and yellow green while illuminated. This tile with a minor slice (approximately ¹⁄₄ in.) near the handle, only visible upon close inspection. The glass presents with minute inclusions, minor surface irregularities, and scattered air bubbles inherent in the making. The shade with approximately 10 cracks scattered throughout, stable. The shade with hooks that appear to be original and a delicate beaded rod border. The canopy appears to be original. The pole, hooks, and socket are modern replacements. With three chains, two appearing original and one modern replacement. The bronze presents with a warm brown patina and green overtones. The metal surfaces with minor abrasions, scratches, and wear. Presents well and ready for display.
