The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

In addition to the catalogue description:

- the red felt-tip pen signature fresh and bright.
- two small brown stains to the left of the road at centre, and in the sky upper right.
- a 25 mm. tear at lower right, extending slightly into the image.
- creasing at the upper right corner, and at the sheet edges.
- soft handling creases in places.
- some surface dirt and scuffing on the reverse.
- the sheet slightly warped due to being previously rolled.
