The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

There is evidence of very skillfully executed restoration to historic damage around the head and neck of the bird and to some small chips to some of the edges of the crevices in places, not visible to the naked eye. The rim of the tail with a crack and small areas of skillfully executed restoration in places. Some small losses to the engobe around the base. The underneath with wear to the footrim. Subject to the foregoing, it is our opinion that the present work appears to be in generally good condition.
