The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The side edges of the canvas are covered with tape. Fine tension cracking is to the right turning edge. Stable hairline craquelure is to the lower right quadrant, in the dark grey painted passage. Fine hairline cracks are to the lower left quadrant, in the blue painted passage. Visible under ultraviolet light, minute spots of inpainting are to the edges, and additional tiny spots are infrequently scattered throughout.
