The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Cette œuvre est vendue encadrée. La feuille est fixée au revers à un support cartonné par des charnières dans les angles supérieurs. La feuille a très légèrement jauni et présente une très légère ondulation. Présence d’un point de manque du papier vers le bord droit, dans la partie supérieure, probablement dû à un ancien montage. Les bords sont très légèrement irréguliers et présentent quelques trous de punaise de l’artiste. Quelques points de piqûre sont par endroits dans le quart inférieur gauche. Une fine trace de pliure est visible dans le quart inférieur droit, une autre horizontale, probablement inhérente au support choisi par l’artiste, est dans la partie supérieure. De légères cassures et froissures du papier sont par endroits sur la surface, principalement le long des bords. Quelques petites zones d’écaillage sont par endroits, principalement en périphérie de l’œuvre. Une ancienne fine déchirure reconsolidée est visible le long du bord supérieur, vers la gauche. Sous réserve de ce qui précède, selon notre opinion, l’œuvre est en bon état général de conservation.

This work is sold framed. The sheet is hinged on the reverse to a cardboard support to the upper corners. The sheet has very slightly yellowed and undulates very slightly. There is a point of paper loss towards the right edge, to the upper part, probably due to a former mount. The edges are very slightly irregular and present a few pin holes by the artist. A few pinpoint foxing are in places to the lower left quadrant. A very thin folding mark is visible to the lower right quadrant, another horizontal, probably inherent to the artist’s chosen support, is to the upper part. A few slight paper creases are in places to the surface, mostly along the edges. A few small areas of flaking are in places, mostly to the periphery of the work. A former thin reconsolidated tear is visible along the upper edge, towards the left. Subject to the foregoing, it is our view that the work appears to be in overall good condition.
