The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
We have sought to record the changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
Water pot:
- A chip to one ear with a small section restuck, and a nick to the tip of the other ear
- Minor areas of polishing to the base, and there appears to be an area of filled firing cracks to base underneath the fox's tail
Brush pot:
- A consolidated crack with some loss to coating extends from the mouth rim to mid body
Flower vase:
- A rim hairline approx. 1.5 in. (3.2 cm.) to mouth
