The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Étude de têtes (Study of Heads): The edges are slightly deckled with faint discolouration. Pinpoint foxing, creases and handling marks occasionally on the surface, predominantly on the four sides. A minor to the upper left corner. A diagonal fold mark to the upper right corner. On the reverse, the condition is consistent with the aforementioned condition observed on the front. Several strips of yellow tape on the four sides presumably for paper consolidation. Cappellin's seal and reference number 204. Subject to the foregoing, it is in our opinion that the work is in overall good condition.

Étude de jambes (Study of Legs): The edges are slightly deckled with faint discolouration. Pinpoint foxing, creases and handling marks occasionally on the surface, predominantly on the four sides. Some minor paper losses along the upper and left edges with two small holes to the left side. Two diagonal fold marks to the lower left and upper right corners. On the reverse, the condition is consistent with the aforementioned condition observed on the front and Cappellin's seal and reference number 358. Subject to the foregoing, it is in our opinion that the work is in overall good condition.

Étude de femme lisant (Study of a Woman Reading): The edges are slightly deckled with faint discolouration. Negligible foxing, creases and handling marks occasionally on the surface. Two diagonal fold marks to the upper left, right and lower left corners. Minor paper losses and several small holes along the upper left edge. On the reverse, the condition is consistent with the aforementioned condition observed on the front. Faint handling marks to the lower half of the sheet. Cappellin's seal and reference number 244. Subject to the foregoing, it is in our opinion that the work is in overall good condition.
