After the design by Sergei Chekhonin, painted by Gavril Sudarchikov, the cavetto of the soup plate painted with Cyrillic letters ‘RSFSR’ for Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic, with yellow and black borders, the rim with light blue and purple borders, marked under base with green underglaze factory mark, also with blue overglaze hammer, sickle and cog, and the date '1921', inscribed in Russian 'after the des.[ign] by Chekhonin' and with artist's initials Cyrillic 'GS'
