The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
Provisional condition report :
Good overall condition.
There are the inevitable dents, marks, scratches and shrinkage cracks consistent with age and use.
The colors of the veneer are slightly faded due to age.
There is an horizontal shrinkage crack to the stretcher table (58 cm.).
The finial of the front right foot is detached and needs to be refixed properly.
There are some minor losses to the veneer at the stretcher.
There are some minor restorations to the marquetry, especially with little wooden blocks and 'gomme-laque' paste filling.
