The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
The work has not been examined outside of its wooden strip frame that is attached with nails to the side edges of the canvas. A faint layer of soiling is to the white painted passages. Minor wear is to the edges and corners, and hairline tension cracking is to the vertical turning edges. A pinpoint loss is to the lower right quadrant below center in a white painted passage. A few fibrous accretions are infrequent. Visible under close inspection, fine hairline cracks are scattered, most notably near the edges. Visible under ultraviolet light, a tiny spot of inpainting is near the center upper edge in a white painted passage and drip accretions fluoresce distinctly, most notably to the lower right quadrant.
