aquatint, 1949, on BFK Rives wove paper, signed in red crayon, a rare proof before steel-facing printed by Atelier Crommelynck, Paris, 1964 (Baer cites only one or two impressions; there were approximately five printed by Lacourière in 1949), before the edition of thirty after steel-facing (there was also an unsigned book edition of 245)
